It talks about how humans' lives will improve in the coming decades and analyzes the various different technologies that are going to come into use by us in the future to make our quality of life better. The social and economic implications of such technologies need to be analyzed and it will look at how Artificial Intelligence, an integral part of our future lifestyle will affect our working and thinking capabilities. According to a survey conducted in an average Dubai neighbourhood, 75% of people have heard of the term 'smart city', but only about 25% have basic knowledge of the technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), the feasibility, how people are affected socially and how the way of life changes.
What is this?

With the continuous advances in technology and the increasingly widespread use of the Internet of Things (IoT), we have seen the concept of “smart cities” come up in urban areas across the world. Like a smart grid, a smart city puts into practice modern information and communication technologies to improve the performance and quality of urban services, while also reducing costs for its people. In a nutshell, the objective of smart cities is to increase efficiency and sustainability of urban and metropolitan areas, which will ultimately improve the quality of living. The adoption of smart city initiatives is increasing exponentially worldwide, with more than 26 cities expected to become 'smart' by 2025.
